What’s the turnaround time for the illustration?
It really depends on the scope of the project. The more complex the illustration is or if bigger quantities are required, the more time it all takes. But once I have a clear understanding to what you're looking for I can give you a final delivery date before we get started with the project. As a rough guideline, the total duration of the book cover projects are usually between 10-12 weeks.
What do you charge for a custom illustration?
My prices vary based on the complexity, subject matter and the style of the illustration. It depends also on where the illustration will be used and the urgency of the work. Get in touch for a quote!

I like your illustration style, but I would like something a bit different, can we still work together?
Absolutely! I always like to challenge myself with new styles and subject matters, so get in touch and let's find out what I could do for you.
How does the payment work? Do you accept Paypal?
Unfortunately I do not accept Paypal, due to their high fees. I'll take direct bank transfers only, for which I'll send you an invoice. Before the drawing process starts I kindly ask 60% as a prepayment. Once the whole project is completed and the illustration approved by you, the remaining 40% should be paid.
Do you work with a contract and can I be sure the project will be completed on time?
I'll take my deadlines very seriously and always make sure to deliver on time. I have not missed a single deadline yet, so you should not worry! I also always work with a Project Agreement, that I'll send you prior the work. This is where I explain the scope of the project including the deadline and other terms and conditions.
What book genres do you work with?
I work in wide range of genres, such as fantasy, young adult, romance, mystery, biography, self-improvement etc. I’m open to work in all genres except children’s picture books.
I don’t have an idea for my book cover, can I still work with you?
Yes, absolutely! Before I start with the illustration process, I always arrange a phone call with my clients, where we will discuss your book and generate the cover ideas together. Read more about the work process here. So if you don’t have an idea yet, don’t worry, that’s what I’m here for!
Should I wait until I have a final page count and back blurb to order my print book?
No, you don’t need to wait. I always start with the front cover illustration. So only after the illustration is completed, we will continue with the spine and back design, once you have all the necessary information for the print book.
